At the YMCA-YWCA of Guelph, I see peoples lives changing everyday. New moms are meetings and sharing secrets of motherhood; children are making bonds of friendship that will last a lifetime and all around people are making a commitment to themselves to live a healthier, happier life in 2010.

Out of all of the people that make the halls of the Y here so joyful, it is the youth here that keep our mission alive. It is their innocence and belief that the person right next to them is a potential friend, no matter their age, gender or economic status.

The Y is a place of respect, honesty, caring and responsibility to our community. I am asking you to help me ensure that we can continue our mission to deliver programs that everyone can take part in, now more than ever as families need our financial assistance program.


I’m trying to raise $1000 to do my part to ensure that all families in Guelph, who need help affording an annual membership, are able to get it. I have started by pledging $10 a month but even a donation of $5 a month will help us continue to run our youth programs and keep our building a safe and clean environment. I’ve already made my contribution and hope you’ll join me.
